Description

Waterfront Winterland has been a seasonal feature in the grounds of the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea, since 2006 and has gone from strength to strength.

The statistics show a record 35,000 people took to the ice-rink between November 22nd and January 4th, with over 2,000 children visiting Santa in his grotto.

A carousel, a selection of fairground rides, festive sing-a-longs, seasonal food and drink, and the Admiral giant wheel were also available for visitors.

Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Culture and Tourism, said: "Waterfront Winterland has now become a much-loved feature of a Swansea Christmas and the visitor figures speak for themselves.  It's a hugely popular attraction for families and people of all ages and helps to generate a wonderful Christmas atmosphere."

Waterfront Winterland will return for the 2009-10 Christmas festive period.
